WHAT OUR PARTICIPANTS SAY ABOUT US:"Thank you for running the sessions - I think that they had a huge impact on delegates." "Most innovative" "a very enjoyable and interesting afternoon" "It certainly demonstrated some important lessons... that to get the best out of people you need to allow them some self-expression" "I have reflected on the parallels for leadership and managing creativity a lot since last Tuesday." "What a good event the Jazz Masterclass was,... I thought the relevance to corporate life was fascinating... The insights from the jazz analogy are really helpful... a stimulus to senior management's working out what their company's obligatory rules are, and how they will disseminate them and, so that people really understand the context in which they are meant to work." |

PERFORMANCE SKILLS WORKSHOPThe demands of life in the workplace may at first seem worlds apart from those of the performing arts. However many skills are directly transferable; this process is explored in workshops led by the Creative Workshop's facilitators Barb Jungr and Adrian York, (Performance and Jazz Workshops creators). By using the worlds of jazz and performance as models, CREATIVE WORKSHOPS engage participants in stimulating, challenging, rewarding and enjoyable experiences. We address many of the key contemporary issues facing both the corporate and public sector environments. The interactive nature of the sessions provides a pathway into another world, creating fresh perspectives on issues such as: Successful team building, effective communication, mutual support, self-reflection and appraisal, working within hierarchies, leadership, effective presentation, management of innovation and innovators, getting value out of creative thinking. The CREATIVE WORKSHOPS format is flexible and can be tailored to your needs. Anything from a morning session to a full weekend can be accommodated and sessions dealing with particular issues or themes pertinent to your company or organisation can be incorporated. 'Creativity audits' (analyses of your organisation's ability to encourage new thinking) can also be booked on request. JAZZ WORKSHOPThe first thing you see when you enter our Jazz Workshop is a jazz quartet. By the end of the workshop you will have joined the band! We demystify the processes that produce this

From the art of composition to the 'blue skies' thinking of improvisation JAZZ WORKSHOP provides new and powerful tools for creativity and effective leadership. PERFORMANCE SKILLS WORKSHOPFrom the basics of breath, posture and voice production through participation in creative writing, poetry, plays and musicals, the PERFORMANCE SKILLS workshop provides an opportunity to engage in new psychological experiences, developing empowerment and confidence. HOW WE WORKThe two strands of Creative Workshops can be run together and separately. They can be run as half day, full day and two day courses. To discuss these possibilities please contact us. WHY US?Both Barb Jungr and Adrian York have had extensive experiences in a variety of working environments and with diverse groups and individuals. Both have wide teaching backgrounds across a variety of academic and public sector workplaces and both have maintained successful careers in music and the performing arts.
